Iran ‘already past point of no return,’ warns ex-IAEA official
According to a report in The Tower Magazine, Heinonen has reviewed the latest Institute for Science and International Security report assessing Tehran’s nuclear progress, saying that Iran’s use of its existing lineup of 19,000 IR-1 centrifuges and its plans to install an additional 3,000 IR-2 centrifuges in its enrichment facilities have reduced its breakout time — the amount of time that would elapse between a decision to manufacture a nuclear weapon and actually possessing one — to just a few weeks.
U.N. efforts to investigate suspicions that Iran has worked on nuclear arms appeared to gain traction Tuesday, with both sides speaking of “very productive” talks after nearly two years of deadlock and agreeing to meet again on Nov. 11 in Tehran. Negotiators for Iran and the U.N.’s International Atomic Energy Agency refused to go into details. But their expressions of optimism and agreement not only to meet again but also to do that in Tehran pointed toward forward movement. My opinion is that “they” know Iran is continuing to work on its nuclear program while they talk in order to agree to talk some more. There is ABOSLUTELY NOTHING being done to stop Iran from getting into a position to threaten Israel with a nuclear bomb! That, ladies and gentlemen, is the reason we keep reading there are “no details” given about what is going on in the negotiation room around the negotiation table!
