JERUSALEM POST: Abbas threatens to dismantle PA if talks don’t start
Palestinian Authority minister for civilian affairs says Abbas giving Kerry until June 20 to revive the peace talks. Abbas informed Kerry that he agreed to extend the deadline for the secretary of state’s mission until June 20, on condition that Israel releases Palestinian prisoners arrested before the signing of the Oslo Accords in 1993. …The PA rejects the idea of a gradual release of the prisoners, insisting that they all be freed together.

Israeli official: Palestinians unwilling for talks
Mass Graves Discovered In Jaffa Containing Palestinian Bodies Predating 1948 Arab-Israeli War Ahhh! The Huff Post is spinning this story to wait until today to report on it! The mass grave was found and reported on last week. Most people have forgotten it already, but Huff Post’s intent is to stir up Anti-Semitic sentiment against Israel by waiting until this week, the anniversary of the 1967 war, to release the account!
While Kerry says time is running out on peace process, report says U.S. may disengage
“We’re running out of time. We’re running out of possibilities. And let’s be clear: If we do not succeed now… we may not get another chance,” said Kerry in his first speech to American Jewish leaders as secretary of state. Meanwhile, a report on Monday quoted a U.S. official as saying America may eventually abandon the peace process if it determined that Israelis and Palestinians were not serious about negotiations. “There are too many things going on in the world… You could bang your head on this for years and years and years,” the U.S. official told Reuters.

THREAT OF INTERNATIONAL FORCES INTRODUCED!!
“Some people are speaking about international forces, maybe [in] the Jordan Valley or the hills and border areas, that will take care of Israel’s future security,” Steinitz said in a speech at The Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs (JCPA).
We knew this was coming, right? It is probable, in my opinion, that the Obama administration is using Kerry to put high pressure on Israel to agree to the PA’s demands so that the peace process can be deemed a failure for the final time. At some point, the UN will likely hold a Security Council meeting to denounce Israel and move NATO troops into the West Bank to enforce Resolution 181 that divides Jerusalem.

Settler leaders to PM: Stop de-facto W. Bank freeze
Warning that a de-facto freeze exists for housing tenders in West Bank settlements and Jewish east Jerusalem homes, settler leaders and Construction and Housing Minister Uri Ariel (Bayit Yehudi) met Tuesday night. They are urging Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu to allow Ariel’s office to authorize thousands of new housing tenders over the pre-1967 lines.
New Palestinian PM Hopes For Fatah-Hamas Unity Government By August
The new Prime Minister of the Palestinian Authority has said that his transitional government will strive to pave way for a Fatah-Hamas unity government, which he expects to be formed by August. Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Sunday appointed 54-year-old British-educated linguistics professor Rami Al-Hamdallah as the next Prime Minister and assigned him to form a new government to replace the one led by Salam Fayyad, who quit last month over differences with Abbas in the wake of a severe economic crisis triggered by cuts in Western donations and Israel freezing money transfers.
Muslim religious leaders denounce Holocaust denial
A group of Muslim leaders from around the globe, including the President of the Islamic Society of North America, issued a joint statement condemning denial — or justification — of the Holocaust and rejecting anti-Semitism in any form. “With the disturbing rise of anti-Semitism, Islamophobia, and other forms of hatred, rhetoric and bigotry, now more than ever, people of faith must stand together for truth, peace and justice,” the statement continued. “Together, we pledge to make real the commitment of ‘never again’ and to stand united against injustice wherever it may be found in the world today.”
WAR & PEACE
Iran Outmaneuvers U.S. in the Syrian Proxy War
Syria is now a proxy war, the outcome of which will determine the regional pecking order. In the Mideast, aura of power decides strategic advantage. Hezbollah’s prowess in Syria is a blow to Saudi Arabia, which has supported Hezbollah’s political opponents in Lebanon. The Syrian army’s gains are a setback to the Saudis, Qataris and Turks, all of whom have backed the rebels with money and weapons. Why has the international community become such bunglers where Syria is concerned? Could it be this is part of setting Israel up for not cooperating in Kerry’s peace process? No matter which government is power – Assad’s or the rebels’ – Israel will be attacked by Syria because this civil war has stirred up more hatred against Israel. Bashar Al-Assad was “live and let live” kind of guy, but now that’s gone! He blames Israel as the reason the West stirred up this conflict and now Israel WILL pay one way or the other!

FRANCE, BRITAIN CONFIRM USE OF SARIN GAS IN SYRIA
France said Tuesday it has confirmed that the nerve gas sarin was used “multiple times and in a localized way” in Syria, including at least once by the regime. It was the most specific claim by any Western power about chemical weapons attacks in the 27-month-old conflict. Britain later said that tests it conducted on samples taken from Syria also were positive for sarin. The back-to-back announcements left many questions unanswered, highlighting the difficulties of confirming from a distance whether combatants in Syria have crossed the “red line” set by Barack Obama. The regime of Syrian President Bashar Assad has refused to allow U.N. investigators into the country.

N. Korea Plutonium Reactor Nears Restart, U.S. Monitor Says
North Korea is nearly finished work needed to restart a mothballed nuclear reactor used to produce weapons-grade plutonium, according to a U.S. institute that monitors the totalitarian country. Commercial satellite images show North Korea “is making important progress” at the Yongbyon site, the U.S.-Korea Institute at the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies said yesterday in a report on its 38 North website.

Obama-Putin New START Nuclear Disarmament Deal May End-Run Congress And Leave U.S. Behind
The Obama administration’s “New START” arms treaty agreement with Russia is off to a bad start with every appearance of getting a lot worse. In addition to having already decimated our nuclear missile defense programs, it appears that Obama, without congressional approval, will next cut our nuclear arsenal by fully one-third at a time when Russia and China are modernizing theirs. Russia also plans to provide anti-ship missiles and ground-to-air missile systems to Syrian President Bashar Assad’s regime, presenting a particular threat to Israel.

BOMBSHELL: ‘PROOF’ IRS COMMITTED FELONY
“I would call the disclosure of our donor lists by the IRS a felony,” charged John Eastman, chairman of the National Organization for Marriage, or NOM, in Washington, D.C., in emotionally charged testimony Tuesday before the House Ways and Means Committee. Eastman testified that the organization’s IRS Form 990 tax return, which lists its donors, was published on the website of the Human Rights Campaign, a “gay-rights” advocacy group. He claimed to have proof the IRS leaked his organization’s confidential donor list under questioning by Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wis. Eastman said “forensic” specialists within his organization had stripped layers from the document posted on the HRC website to identify “meta-data,” or unseen embedded code, that identified the document as having originated from within the IRS.

Illinois passes bill to allow concealed firearms; last U.S. state to have such a ban
The Illinois legislature agreed Friday to allow people to carry concealed guns, which if signed into law would make the state the last in the country to allow the public possession of concealed firearms. The compromise plan by the House and Senate followed a federal appeals ruling that stated Illinois’ concealed carry ban is unconstitutional and that the state must change it by June 9. Gov. Pat Quinn, a Democrat, has not said whether he will sign the legislation into law. However, the bill has enough votes in the legislature to override a gubernatorial veto.

Court’s DNA Ruling Brings U.S. a Step Closer to ’Gattaca’
The Supreme Court’s 5-4 holding today in Maryland v. King, that anyone arrested for a “serious crime” can have his or her DNA taken without any suspicion, is a landmark because it represents a major step toward a “Gattaca” world. This means that evidence of a crime can be collected without any particular suspicion, avoiding the pesky requirement of a warrant that the Founding Fathers thought would give us liberty and privacy.

BIOLOGICAL WARFARE
Connecticut will label GMOs if you do too
Connecticut is poised to become the first state to require labeling of genetically engineered food — in theory, at least. On Monday, the state House of Representatives passed an amended version of a labeling bill that the state Senate approved two weeks ago, and Gov. Dannel Malloy (D) has said he’ll sign it. The bipartisan bill passed unanimously in the Senate and 134-to-3 in the House, with little debate in either chamber — a major contrast to California’s contentious GMO-labeling ballot initiative that ultimately failed last year. Differences between the two states aside, it goes to show you how much more difficult passing such progressive measures becomes once corporate money and gullible voters are involved.

Bishops under pressure to abstain in gay marriage vote
Despite vocal opposition from the Church to the Government’s plans to allow same-sex couples to marry, it is understood that senior officials have personally urged bishops to stay away from this week’s vote. They fear that a large bloc of clerics turning up to vote down the bill could rebound on the Church, reopening questions over the right of bishops to sit in the Lords and even raise the prospect of disestablishment.

Church of Scotland Shreds Bible, Canonizes Palestinian ‘Scripture’
At its recent General Assembly (May 18-24, 2013), the Church of Scotland adopted a pro-Palestinian tract entitled The Inheritance of Abraham? Its Preface admits that a previous version “caused worry and concern in parts of the Jewish Community in Israel and beyond” and offers “clarification.” The clarification is mere window-dressing, but that is beside the point. It is rather “parts of the Christian Community in Scotland and beyond” that should be worried and concerned. To judge from the amateurish theological absurdities in this document, which passed through all the relevant levels of the bureaucracy up to the General Assembly, the whole Kirk is adrift. It has abandoned a glorious past for a dubious future. Remember, the British Monarchy is a member of this church. Thus, this act is likely condoned by the Monarchy, namely and specifically Prince Charles! He has a vested interest in changing Church doctrine since he is a fan of Islam if not an outright Muslim!
